It looked interesting and since we are big fans of documentaries and offcourse our love for Jesus Christ, that seemed like a nice watch to enjoy. Little did we know we were wrong. While walking past a well-known bookstore during the Mother’s Day season, I stopped to look at their front window display with my wife. Dozens of books, colorful and full of emotional messages, were proudly showcased. But as I examined the content with spiritual discernment, what I saw was deeply troubling: a clear and growing spiritual deception in our modern culture. God without Christ. Faith without the Cross. False Light in Plain Sight. One book caught my eye: “New Scientific Evidence of the Existence of God” by José Carlos González-Hurtado. In the recent film Conclave, Hollywood once again reveals its agenda to undermine and attacking traditional Christian values under the guise of progressive storytelling. The film portrays a fictional papal election that ultimately results in a woman who presents herself as a man being elected as the Pope. This narrative, presented as a moral and virtuous outcome, is a blatant distortion of biblical principles and a clear insult to Catholicism and Christianity as a whole. As an evangelical Protestant Christian, I found this portrayal deeply offensive, not only to the Catholic Church but to all who hold to biblical truth.
