Defending the Innocent: Why Christians Must Speak Out Against Pride Propaganda Targeting Our Children

In recent years, there has been a rapid and disturbing shift in how culture engages with our children, particularly in the month of June. What was once a quiet month of summer break has now become a full-blown celebration of “Pride Month”—a cultural movement that does more than promote so-called equal rights. It now aggressively seeks to indoctrinate children with ideas that oppose God’s truth, often without parental consent and under the deceptive banner of love, inclusion, and diversity.

Pride: A Sin Repackaged as a Virtue

The very foundation of this celebration is built on a word the Bible consistently warns us about: pride.

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” — James 4:6 (NIV)

Pride was the original sin of Satan. Isaiah 14 describes how Lucifer exalted himself, saying, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God… I will make myself like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:13-14, NIV). That pride led to his fall. Today, that same spirit is paraded, not repented of. And it’s not just paraded in adult spaces—it’s aimed directly at children.

The Rainbow: A Covenant Distorted

God gave us the rainbow as a symbol of His promise and mercy (Genesis 9:13). But now it is used as the global emblem of a movement that celebrates sin. Rainbow flags hang in classrooms, are printed on children’s books, and appear in countless marketing campaigns aimed at young audiences.

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” — Isaiah 5:20 (NIV)

The Indoctrination of the Young

Companies like Target and Disney are placing pride-themed merchandise—shirts, toys, books—at children’s eye level. Educational shows like Sesame Street are now featuring drag queens and characters discussing gender fluidity with Big Bird and others.

But it gets even worse. In kindergartens across countries like Germany, Canada, Australia, and the UK, schools have hosted so-called “drag queen story hours” where cross-dressing men read books to toddlers and preschoolers. These events, often funded or supported by local governments, are presented as literacy programs—but their true aim is to normalize gender confusion and indoctrinate children into sexual ideologies they are far too young to process. This is not education. It is spiritual and psychological harm disguised as progress.

These aren’t isolated cases. This is systemic grooming dressed up as inclusion. What’s worse, children are being told that to be kind and loving, they must affirm sin—something not even Jesus did.

If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” — Matthew 18:6 (NIV)

Children are being taught ideas they cannot cognitively or spiritually comprehend. Confusion is marketed as freedom. But what it actually does is destroy innocence and create identity crises at an age where kids should be learning how to read, play, and trust in God.

Homosexuality Is a Sin According to Scripture

God’s Word is not silent on this issue. The apostle Paul wrote clearly in his letters:

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men… will inherit the kingdom of God.” — 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV)

This is not hatred. This is Scripture. Paul warns the church out of love, so that people may repent and be saved. In the next verse, Paul reminds us:

“And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” — 1 Corinthians 6:11 (NIV)

Homosexuality, along with all forms of sexual immorality, is sin—but sin that can be forgiven and redeemed through the blood of Christ.

From the beginning, God established the truth about human sexuality and marriage:

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” — Genesis 1:27 (NIV)

That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”Genesis 2:24 (NIV)

God made two sexes—male and female—and designed marriage to be a union between a man and a woman. Any distortion of this divine design is rebellion against the Creator.

Love Does Not Lie

We are told that to be kind, we must affirm these identities. But Scripture says otherwise:

Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.” — Proverbs 27:6 (NIV)

Love does not mean flattery. It does not mean applause for self-destruction. It means truth, even when truth is unpopular.

Jesus’ Example: Grace and Truth

Jesus never affirmed sin to make people feel safe. He extended grace while calling people to repentance:

Go now and leave your life of sin.” — John 8:11 (NIV)

His model was not one of silence or celebration of sin, but invitation to freedom. That must be our model too.

A Call to Action for Believers

This is not about hate. It’s about eternity. If we love children—if we love truth—we must speak. We must:

  • Teach our children the truth of God’s Word early (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

  • Refuse to support corporations that prey on young minds

  • Create Christ-honoring alternatives in media and education

  • Speak up in churches, schools, and online—not with rage, but with holy boldness

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” — Ephesians 5:11 (NIV)

The Gospel Still Saves

To those caught in the LGBTQ+ lifestyle: You are not beyond hope. We do not hate you. We are not better than you. We are sinners pointing to the Savior.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12 (NIV)

Jesus still forgives. He still restores. And He still sets captives free. But it begins with repentance.

Final Words

Every month belongs to Christ. Not June. Not October. Not December. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).

Let us not be silent while evil is celebrated. Let us raise our voices—not in hate, but in hope. Let us defend the innocent, expose the darkness, and preach the Gospel boldly.

Repent. Believe. Be free.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” — Matthew 5:8 (NIV)
